Annotation

The article compares the ontological and anthropological concepts of an alternative metaphysical postmodernism that has not been appropriated by modern politics. In particular, it highlights the quasi- religious motifs in Derrida’s grammatology, Deleuze’s nomadology, and Badiou’s universalism. These motifs are defined as part of the post- Christian cultural heritage that holds relevance for the development of the future’s metamodern horizons. The common features of the quasi- religious strategies of the three postmodernists are the understanding of being as a multitude (differences, tragedy, truth, event, rhizome, Archiwriting, deconstructions) and the assumption of the possibility of a break with the multitude in the conditions of the latter’s transformation into violence. The bearer of the break is the excessive subject as the hero of the multitude and the participant of the event (“Dionysus” Deleuze, “Paul” Badiou, “dead author” Derrida). The synchronization of difference and identity in alternative postmodernism allows us to use its cryptoreligious potential to transcend the recycling matrix of modernity through the performative opposition of “modernity vs. postmodernity.” The metaphysics of postmodernism holds particular significance due to its alignment with the excessive thinking of contemporary Russian youth.
