Annotation
This article examines the connection between two mystical concepts — the spiritual (or
“sacred”) “space of the heart”, and the invisible “body of light”, believed, in the views of esotericists, to be a part of the immaterial human anatomy. A comparison is made of theoretical
and practical descriptions of the spiritual space of the heart, an analysis is made of the doctrines of Western spiritual teachers of the twentieth century, especially the founder of the Dutch
neo-Rosicrucian movement, J. van Rijckenborgh; and also studies the New Age works of such
modern authors as D. Melchizedek, D. Mitel and J. J. Hurtak, who aimed to show the connection
between the space of the heart and the human body of light, and offer specific practices for moving consciousness into the space of the heart for the subsequent “activation” of this light body
