THE BORDERS OF THE RUSSIAN WORLD (WESTERN RUSSIA IN THE CONCEPTS OF N. G. USTRYALOV AND M. O. KOYALOVICH)
Annotation
The article examines the concepts of two prominent Russian historians of the 19th century, N. G. Ustryalov and M. O. Koyalovich, who rarely become the object of analysis. They are united by the fact that for them the national history was not limited to the history of the Russian state, as for the main line of Russian historiography. They took our history more broadly, including the historical path of Western Russia, which for centuries fell under foreign domination, but managed to preserve itself. Thus, their historical writings outlined the real borders of the Russian world, which, in our opinion, is an acutely relevant topic.
